Amplify

Amplify is reimagining the way teachers teach and students learn.

I designed the Amplify Library app.

Responsibilities: User Research, Workshops, Wireframing, UI Designs and User Testing.

The initial app had a library but it was very basic. All 9,000 books in the library had no search functionality, weren't categorized, and had no personalization features. After doing thorough user research and very effective workshops, we came to the conclusion that the kids needed a fun app that they could personalize and search for books effectively. I designed the library to include a Hero Space for promos, a 'Recently read' section, a 'Most popular' section, and a highlighted section for the students' preferred books.  We also added a robust search engine bar with suggested books. I also incorporated selectable avatars and fun, customizable themes like 'Robot' and 'Dragon' skins that the kids could install. The redesigned library was a huge success and increased their reading significantly.
